چکیده
Typhoidal and para-typhoidal Salmonella are major causes of bacteraemia in resource-limited countries. Diagnostic alternatives to laborious resource-demanding serotyping essential. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIRS) is a rapidly developing simple bacterial typing technology. In this study, we assessed the discriminatory power FTIRS-based IR Biotyper (Bruker Daltonik GmbH, Bremen, Germany), for rapid reliable identification biochemically confirmed typhoid paratyphoid fever-associated isolates. total, 359 isolates, comprising 30 S. Typhi, 23 Paratyphi A, B, 7 C, respectively other phylogenetically closely related serovars belonging serogroups O:2, O:4, O:7 O:9 were tested. The strains derived from clinical, environmental food samples collected at different European sites. Applying artificial neural networks, specific automated classifiers built discriminate typhoidal non-typhoidal within each four serogroups. accuracy was 99.9%, 87.0%, 99.5% 99.0% B respectively. promising tool fast detection Salmonella. Hence, biotyping may serve as suitable alternative conventional approaches surveillance diagnostic purposes.

متن کاملClassification and identification of bacteria by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy.
This study describes a computer-based technique for classifying and identifying bacterial samples using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) patterns. Classification schemes were tested for selected series of bacterial strains and species from a variety of different genera. Dissimilarities between bacterial IR spectra were calculated using modified correlation coefficients. Dissimila...

The way of making cross-linkable polyethylene through silane grafting has gained much attention in recentyears because of its various advantages such as easy processing, low cost and capital investment andfavorable properties in the processed materials. This work deals with silane grafting and moisture crosslinkingof linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE). The grafting reaction was performed i...
متن کاملQuality Control of Valerianae Radix by Attenuated Total Reflection Fourier Transform Infrared (ATR-FTIR) Spectroscopy.
(Acetoxy-)valerenic acid and total essential oil content are important quality attributes of pharmacy grade valerian root (Valerianae radix). Traditional analysis of these quantities is time-consuming and necessitates (harmful) solvents. Here we investigated an application of attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy for extractionless analysis of these quality attribu...
